 Family Heritage Day - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - The day will be full of hands-on indoor and outdoor activities, such as: Horse drawn wagon rides ($3/person) The Singing Puppeteers – 30 minutes shows at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 2:30pm – courtesy of the Canadian Mental Health Association Grey-Bruce Branch - historic candle making - model train sets, be an engineer for a short time!
- rug hooking - leather pouch making ($2/pouch) - courtesy of Survival in the Bush, Inc. - spinning, weaving - snowshoeing around Fairy Lake, try out new and old style snowshoes courtesy of Thorncrest Outfitters - wood carving & wood turning - historic woodworking tools - knitting and corking and so much more!
…and after you have built up your appetite, come in for bowl of delicious chili or a hot dog or sandwich at the Food Booth! *Free Admission with donation on a non-perishable good for the local food bank.

| Grand Opening of the HMS General Hunter Warship exhibit. During the bicentennial year of the War of 1812, this exhibit tells the full story of the war with a major focus on the British Warship HMS General Hunter, discovered on the Southampton Beach. This exhibit features a replica of the battle-ready working deck of the warship, including interactive cannon loading and firing, and square sail raising experiences. |
